Look for Subourbon Wife (the book) to be published sometime before I die.

It’s my story of self-loathing, perfectionism, depression, alcoholism, treatment and recovery. If you’ve never planned the neighborhood Halloween party from rehab, roomed there with a heroine addict, or bonded with a sorority sister over group therapy, this book will open your eyes to the laughs and realities of addiction and recovery.

This blog is about me (post-rehab) and my everyday struggles to be a wife and a mother and a decent human being (all at the same time!) while not wanting to kill myself.

    I just love your blog. Thanks to the UBP 2010 we get to meet.

    I love your description about perfectionism and date nights. we have been perpetually pregnant or recovering from labor/delivery since 2005 and finally finishing up the last stages of infancy and dates are far and few between.

    i too, am taking it one day at a time and meeting life on life’s terms requires a sense of humor and tough skin.
